Dalia lives with her young son Cosmo, and she is separated from her husband. She works in an Alternative radio station, "although she does not make a living that way". Her world changes when she is faced with the news that her mother Lala, an ethnobotanical biologist at the UNAM, has been diagnosed with premature Alzheimer.

The Good Herbs is a story about the relationship between the brain chemistry, plants, and human emotions. It allows one to realize the invisible ties between human beings and death, about Nature that involves each and every one of us, and which we all are part of, the ties that connect us to the inevitable separations in life, and the Mexican herbology and ancestral knowledge about certain plants that help heal our soul.


Dalia vive con su pequeño hijo Cosmo, separada del marido. Trabaja en una estación de radio alternativa "aunque no vive de eso". Su vida cambia cuando tiene que confrontar el Alzheimer prematuro que le diagnostican a Lala, su madre, bióloga etnobotánica de la UNAM.

Las buenas hierbas es un relato sobre la química del cerebro, la química de las plantas y de las emociones humanas. Da cuenta de los lazos invisibles que unen a los seres vivos con sus muertos; de la naturaleza que a todos nos envuelve -y a la que en última instancia pertenecemos. De los lazos que nos unen y las separaciones inevitables. De la herencia herbolaria mexicana y del conocimiento ancestral de ciertas plantas que ayudan a curar el alma.
